Contact Aitelong →The Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) is a core testing instrument throughout the entire lifecycle of fiber optic networks, from construction to operation and maintenance. Its primary applications can be broadly categorized into engineering testing & acceptance, and routine maintenance & troubleshooting.
Aitelong SAT-18F OTDR (Optical Time‑Domain Reflectometer) is designed for fiber‑optic testing. Equipped with an 8‑inch high‑definition display screen, it integrates multiple test functions to meet diverse requirements in fiber‑optic network construction, maintenance and fault troubleshooting, it is applied from G.654E single-mode to multimode fibers, and extend across a wide spectrum of use cases, including long-distance cable maintenance, optical cable production, and project commissioning & acceptance testing etc.
OTDR high dynamic range and low dead zone, can accurately locate fault points and anomalies in optical cables, ensuring stable and reliable network operation. It delivers reliable testing solutions for users, whether for communications infrastructure deployment or day‑to‑day operation and maintenance.
SAT-18F OTDR adopts an 8.0‑inch 1024*768 IPS color TFT screen for improved trace viewing performance with convenient touch‑based operation.
Soft material covers the perimeter to mitigate impact damage from bumps and knocks. Dust‑proof design delivers effective protection for optical and electrical interfaces under harsh working conditions.
The OTDR combines a large display with a jog‑dial key. The proprietary dial integrates multiple key commands to diversify operating experiences.
2‑megapixel auto‑focus camera records on‑site test conditions. Recordings can be associated with SOR files to facilitate historical repair reference and traceability.
All‑in‑one multi‑function capability for fast network cable identification and wire‑sequence verification.
Integrated OTDR, visual fault locator, laser light source, optical power meter, Beidou +GPS dual‑positioning system, spirit level, thermometer and hygrometer for multiple practical functions in one device.
With iOLA function, users can launch fiber‑optic cable tests with one‑click operation. The system completes full‑process measurement automatically and generates pass/fail results against pre‑defined thresholds. Thanks to the user‑friendly interface, even less‑experienced operators can easily identify whether network faults exist, as well as fault types and locations.
When paired with a USB fiber end‑face microscope, the unit quickly detects scratches and dust on fiber end‑faces to enhance test quality. End‑face screenshot capture is supported.
Test range and measurement time can be customized for diverse test environments and conditions. It ensures measurement accuracy while boosting test efficiency.
Boasts ultra‑high dynamic range of 48/46 dB and 256 000 sampling points for clearer trace analysis. It features 0.6 m event dead zone and 3 m attenuation dead zone, well‑suited for testing scenarios with numerous patch cords inside equipment rooms.
Customizable multi‑fiber test templates support quick file saving. Cable ID and fiber ID can be embedded into filenames. Multi‑level cyclic increment/decrement for designated ID items is available to simplify document management for multi‑fiber testing and improve working efficiency.
With network connectivity enabled, test commands can be sent to the remote‑end unit, whose test results will be transmitted back to the local device.
